Remembering What He’s Done!
I was reading Psalm 105 this morning and was in awe of the Lord’s provision, grace, and mercy. Here are the first 5 verses:
1 Give thanks to the LORD, call on his name;
make known among the nations what he has done.
2 Sing to him, sing praise to him;
tell of all his wonderful acts.
3 Glory in his holy name;
let the hearts of those who seek the LORD rejoice.
4 Look to the LORD and his strength;
seek his face always.
5 Remember the wonders he has done,
his miracles, and the judgments he pronounced,
I feel as though I’m just finishing a season, about to start a new one, and the season the Lord has just brought me through has been filled with maturing, growth, digging in deep to really look at the root of sin, and I feel I really got to see Him working in the lives of the people around me, in an amazing, astonishing, jaw-dropping, are you serious, Lord?, kind of way… He is HOLY. He is REDEEMER. He is TRUTH.
A friend of mine who has been instrumental in my growth and maturing (and calling out of sin), the very person who I wrote the last blog about, left this morning to begin a new chapter and a new season in her life with a church plant in Alabama, and as I was reading this, all I could think of was PRAISE HIM for what He has done and all He’s still doing!! People’s hearts are softening to the Gospel, truth is being spoken, sin is being fleed from, mercy is being shown, grace is being extended, joy felt, compassion shown, people are having their faces unveiled, AND IT’S ALL BY HIS PROVIDENCE AND POWER. HE IS GOOD! and He’s not done yet!
So, as this new season begins, I just echo the Psalms, and “remember the works He has done” and PRAISE HIM for it!!
I also echo the sentiment of my friend who left…our last conversation we had, we talked about the Lord returning and how we long for that day…
May He come soon…and as we wait, may we long for Him and continue to work…listening and obeying…
